Hank Flick Memorial Fund

Hank Flick taught in the Department of Communication for 45 years before retiring in 2016. In 2017, Hank Flick passed away, leaving a legacy of Bulldog pride, kindness and loyalty behind. Flick came to MSU’s campus in 1971 after graduating from the University of Memphis where he never took an education course nor had any intention of becoming a teacher – what he would one day come to describe as his “ministry.” Most students, faculty, and staff would refer to him as a “legend” at MSU and have nothing but good memories of him through lessons learned inside and outside the classroom. Dr. Hank Flick passed away in June of 2017, however his legacy at Mississippi State University continues to make an impact through your support.

The Hank Flick Memorial Fund will be utilized to support undergraduate students pursuing value-added, experiential opportunities. Such experiences include, but are not limited to, internships, conference travel, fieldwork and any other experience that promotes student growth and development.
